MIZORAM

Mizoram is a mountainous state nestling in the southern tip of the Northeast. The land of the Highlanders exudes an exotic charm of its own. Morning mists billowing out of the deep valleys embrace the hills and create an expanse of snow-white sea. The land is covered with verdant forests most of which are bamboo groves, with abundant wildlife sheer cliffs, gushing streams and silvery waterfalls. Picture postcard villages of houses built on stilts dot the landscape of the Highlanders.

Mizoram is a good getaway for a quiet holiday or outdoor activities. With an area of 21087 sq. km and bounded by Myanmar in the east and Bangladesh in the west, the state has an international boundary of 722 km and is strategically placed.
